Assorted Alder

Introducing our 1" assorted reclaimed alder, perfect for adding character and warmth to your upcoming woodworking project. Sourced from local dismantled structures, each piece carries a unique history and patina that cannot be replicated.

It was found under old turkey cages, forgotten about for years, adding a layer of mystery and charm to it. The previous owner collected off cuts from a wood mill that he worked at over the span of two decades.

Alder wood is a hardwood commonly used in woodworking due to its straight grain and even texture. It is lightweight and easy to work with, making it ideal for furniture, cabinets, and other interior woodworking projects. Alder wood can range in color from pale yellow to reddish-brown and darkens with age and exposure to light. It accepts stain well, allowing for a variety of finishes. Additionally, alder wood is known for its stability and resistance to warping, making it a popular choice for both beginners and experienced woodworkers alike.
