Embracing Sustainability: The Stella Rooftop Garden Project

At the intersection of Main and Kingsway in Mount Pleasant stands The Stella, showcasing spectacular views of the vibrant neighbourhood. Spearheaded by Carissa from Seed and Nourish, a project to create a rooftop garden using reclaimed wood and custom sheet metal planter boxes was brought to life.

The focal point of the project was a vertical garden wall integrating a mix of perennials and vegetables, blending both form and function seamlessly. The use of reclaimed wood not only added a rustic charm but also contributed to the sustainability of the endeavor. Custom sheet metal planter boxes were skillfully crafted to fit the space perfectly, adding a modern touch to the overall aesthetic.

The rooftop garden at The Stella serves as a testament to the beauty that can be achieved through the combination of reclaimed materials and thoughtful design. This project not only enhances the visual appeal of the building but also provides a green oasis in the midst of the urban environment.
